Only with time, these LEDs will get better and more powerful! Hopefully the price will come down with it!

The flexible light sabre is quite neat.

I do not think I heard much about the color rendition, in detail, in that video. That to me is the key aspect when it comes to LEDs. What kind of LEDs are used? The LED manufacturers have extensive data on them with chromaticity diagrams and such. The notion that power can be adjusted without change in color temperature, i do not believe, is correct. Lots of tech data missing.

I'm keen on trying out continuous LED lighting as well. That YouTube video from the camera store was weird though.. The light was absolutely terrible and so were their shots at the end.

Well the video is good for a laugh.

' I don't like to shoot with strobes in the studio because they're too powerful.'

Ah yeah, right. We're all trying to shoot at f1.4 in the studio.

Now we're talking. A Northlight is a sweet light in the studio. Perfectly even highlights or beautiful gradations by stepping the power on the heads. Makes me want to shoot 8X10 again. :)
