It will get easier, you probably just need some time and practice to get used to it.

Focusing with an H3D is a dream, bright accurate, sharp ....

I am so delighted with the quality, I have never seen anything coming close in any SLR or DSLR. Not even the Leica SL2 came close to that and this is (was) so far the best viewfinder for me.
