Sinar Hy6 Camera System - Some General Views

Welcome, Billy (sorry for the bad IQ of this ISO 1600 with my desk lamp!).

Yes, there is a spacer but with a fix and same size for all backs of a certain type, e.g. eMotion 75 / 75 LV. It is placed between the adapter and the casing, in a location where it fits exactly in.

Thierry

Much appreciated, Thierry.
I noticed the word "Spacer"....if that separate piece is still used, where does it fit?

Taken with Sinar Hy6 - eMotion 75 with Zeiss 110mm/2

1/15 at f8

Cropped to about half - Contrast Correction and USM applied

Was a bit windy, today when I took this shot in my garden: it is a black Orchid

Thierry

PS: I just noticed, after the upload, that it does not use the embedded profile. Probably using sRGB

Thierry,

While you're resting, take some shots with that beautiful kit and post them for us to see :)

Thierry,

Wow on those colors... lovely capture. Glad you got that wonderful lens while your orchids were still in bloom. Quite shallow DOF for f/8... one of the things I like so much about MF. Did you use eXposure for your conversion.

I hope future Sinarbacks will look more integrated with the Hy6 camera body.
Yes the Leaf back fit's nicely on the AFi,however that's also one of the reasons
why it can't rotate.
For that they have to totally redesign the coupling plate.

N.B I do also think it's a shame that with the e75 LV screen upgrade,
Sinar didn't match the back with the same color scheme as the Hy6.

I have heard to the grapevine that there is a new back for the Hy6 in the
pipeline.

Regards,
Willem.

Love the overall image. Colors are wonderful. But i could do without the very sharp hexagon OOF areas. Too abrupt a transition for me

Yes, the colours of this orchid are wonderful: I wish it could apply the right profile here in the post, which seems to be a problem (Guy?).
Its DNGed with eXposure and PP in CS3 (some contrast correction and USM).

I could do without too. I wanted to try my new 110/2 with different f-stops, started at f8, but then came wind and rain, and that was it. Will try to get some more of it, but this orchid does blossom only for a few days, in contrast to most of the orchids.

Thierry,
I like whatever's happening (movement?) on the left side of vertical BlackOrchid(2).
What ISO? Where's the EXIF (JPG in CS2) ?

By the way, I'd like to have ISO 25 & 50 settings for the ultimate quality

Simple, what happened: it is still windy today, so yes, movement happened.
Even the "sharp" zone is slightly blurred by the wind.

But to be honest, I like this movement in the image

I used ISO 100, 1/30 at f2

EXIF: I do myself see the EXIF data in the eXposure DNGs

Your next assignment:
Let's see some [cat:thumbdown:] photos at ISO 800,
and some long exposure captures, please.
