I had one of these about 4 years ago for about a week and used it with my Canon. Biggest issue was lenses needed to be relatively long, like over 90mm... So if you wanted wide, you had to stitch, but then the mirror box cast a shadow and limited how far you could stitch. But at least you could stitch by moving the rear standard around. Second issue was rigidity -- the P isn't really all that rigid in digital SLR terms. Fine for 4x5 film, but a bit too much slop and wiggle for high-rez digital. At the end of the day, and this is IMHO only, it's just okay for table-top work...

Jack,
Interesting that you would mention this, as I have used (and love) my P for a while using scanbacks. I had the opportunity to check out a friends P that had just come back from a full "service" at Precision and it was like night and day. I always thought that mine was rigid, but the damn thing is really, really rigid, more in line with what I remember my previous P (bought new) to be. I had attributed this to my diminishing memory and "romanticizing" the good old film days. After school starts, I'll likely send mine up to be gone through, it has a few issues that I just live with, but after using my friends, I'm convinced.
