Can anyone tell me how an hasselblad H3DII50MP is upgraded to a H4D50?
with this upgrade does the upgraded camera utilize true focus?

the H4D50 would have a new body and prism, new back, would have true focus.

Blad listed in Q2, 2010 that you could trade in H3DII-50 for the H4D-50 for $3,000, if your H3DII-50 had been sold prior to Sept 25, 2009.

no lenses included in any trade in

Hasselblad told me that the trade-in would include an upgrade of the body that must be sent in to Hasselblad. The back would be unchanged, but I do not know if it has to be sent in as well for alignment and focus adjustment.

I had my 50 done in Parsippany, NJ. The upgrade service took about an hour. They replaced the camera body only, left the back unchanged and re-calibrated the back with the new body.
