CFV 16 Batteries ?

Hello!

I found a CFV-16 used to buy ;)

the only concern is that it doesn't come with charger and batteries.

is that a problem or not ?

can I buy separately a Sony™ InfoLithium L NP-F series ? like Sony NP-F570 L ?

will it work without problem with the Digital back ?

thanks!

elrafo,

no, the missing battery isn't a problem at all, except you have to buy one additionally and yes, you're perfectly right, this Sony battery will work. This type of rechargeable batteries is readily available.

Good luck and best regards,
Udo

You can use the SONY F 550 , F 570 or F 590 or equivalent .
They differ in capacity like 2200mAh , 4400mAh and 6600mAh .
I woud not recommend the F590 , because that type is very bulky .
There are also no name brands on the market which are rather cheap .
I found the original SONY to be the most expensive one but also the best . It holds the load for a very long time . I only use the Sony F570 .
The CFV-16 , CFV-39 and CFV-50 all use the same type .

Sorry , mistake .

NP F570 is 2200mAh
NP F770 is 4400mAh (not F570)
NP F970 is 6600mAh (not F590)

I would not recommend the NP F970 . Too Bulky .
I mostly use the NP F770 .

It depends very much on where you live .
My experience is , that only bigger dealers will have them + charging unit on stock .
The original SONY is hard to get . Best to try AMAZON .
