I've seen a lot of people comparing Nikon lenses, vs. canon, vs. zeiss, vs. Schneider, vs. Rodenstock. People have been comparing charts and everything based upon numbers from what I have seen. However, I can say that nothing has ever produced pictures in the same way that my new Rodenstock lens produces images. The way it renders out of focus textures is something that I've never seen in my life. It resembles a painting much more than a photo.
To me it is things like this that people should pay more attention to when choosing which lenses to buy, not by choosing which lens looks best on paper.
