Thanks Mal. I find myself using negative Clarity in C1 to get a soft slightly diffuse look. As for vertical real estate, there's none left here at home but I do have a couple of galleries that can handle big'uns!

Porter and Hyde both. Slickrock was a Sierra Club book that showcased both of them.

    Graham,

Thanks for thinking of my work in such a way. I never did gravitate to Eliot Porter in the past. Don't know why. When I look now at his photography, I very much like his style. His Intimate Landscape approach is something I really like and find myself doing a lot.

Since we're throwing around the old masters names, every time I see a Shashin Apple, I'm reminded of a Weston Pepper. It's just that those peppers had all those sexy curves and tones.

I like this! Great colors! Here in fall it begins to rain and the leafs fall down unspectacular; we have some colors in the leafs - mostly only yellow - but the grass is still green. Your picture is really like as I had played with an Indian-Summer-Filter. Great; thanks for showing!

The HC100 is a fantastic lens... :thumb up: A fast portrait lens is one of two lenses really missing from the S system, the other being a TS lens, although a 30mm TS is long rumoured.

    Re: Fun with MF images

On a recent business trip to Bangkok, I managed to take photos on only one evening - so concentrated on this series of Wat Arun temple. All taken with Pentax 645D and either the 35mm A lens or 6x7 75mm f2.8AL lens (plus Pentax adaptor):

    Hey Bill,

Nice shot! I only went there once (in the middle of the day, with harsh light) and didn't come back with anything as nice as this. Congrats! I will post a couple of examples in a sec. for comparison (and to show how much better your shot is!).

    Re: Fun with MF images

As I was on my tour today to take some pictures at an sea in our near it began to rain:

I don't know if the points inside the picture are raindrops or on my cokin-filter - I only could say, that they arn't on my sensor.

I had luck that there was a bridge; only the first two minutes, where the rain came heavy from the side I became a little bit wet.

And this is the little power station below the barrier wall; I don't know why, but I like it.

Here's the weather not very well; slowly the november rain-season begins.
So I perhaps could be a little bit envious of Ed's Sand and sun.

Ed, thanks for your kind comments - but your shots are pretty darn good too, especially the third!

I was very lucky with the light that day, though the wind was fierce. Some of my shots were obscured by blowing sand!

    Here's a couple more.
