My wife and I volunteer at a local cat shelter, working with those that have been deemed "feral". While none are aggressive, most of these cats prefer that we not attempt to approach too closely so these were shot from a good distance away and have been heavily cropped.

A shot from September. This cove is near my home on Lake Erie. We think of it as a perfect pirate cove; however, as far as I know all the pirates were on Long Point, across the lake, in Canada. Still, it is likely some rum runners used it during Prohibition.

    Hello Tsjanik,
You have a good eye, these guys as well as some of the others are terribly afraid and mistrustful of people. Most of our 40+ "inmates" at the feral branch of our organization were essentially wild and in jeopardy of extermination prior to our acquiring them. It is amazing, and quite rewarding as well, that given some time and kindness, many of these cats have come around and actually have become quite friendly, while others….well, not so much.

    thank you.

Well.. She did hair, and base makeup, I did face painting, then we took couple shots with Elinchrom's 37" Deep Throat against Botero's background (one with gray-and light gray splats), then it was matter of putting things together, doing abrasion toning in similar way as i would do it with paper negatives (ye old old technique, from film days) , then its a texture overlays and some curve playing and some D&B to get makeup to stand out a bit more - to get visual results i like.

That looks like where I use to live before we moved in 2007. The area was called, Redland, FL. You'd find lots of plant and tree nurseries, tractors, and water shooters! I got use to being woken up at 5am to the sounds of the water shooters.

    Hi Darr,
This was shot way west of Hobe Sound and yes, a heavily agricultural area as well. This was a poorly maintained citrus grove until about 6-8 months ago, then one day the trees were all gone and now… well, I have no idea what they are growing but it appears to be doing well.

A bit of cropping would improve this image with respect to composition, but I just love the wide perspective of this lens.

Saturday morning in Pittsburgh. The Churchill country club has gone out of business, and with the thick fog I think it made a good spot for photography.

    Ruby Bridges
This image is a reproduction of the famous Norman Rockwell painting which is emblematic of the end of the separation of race in the public schools in the US
The painting hangs in the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Ma.
My wife and I were the first visitors during a rainy October day last year, and I was able to use my tripod and flash to take this image with my 50 megapixel Hasselblad. My camera was perfectly level and square to the painting so the image is in perfect focus from edge to edge.
Because of the technology at my disposal, I believe that this image may be the best photographic reproduction ever taken of this iconic work of art

This one was taken at Jiuzhaigou, sort of a national park located in a Tibetan region in Sichuan Province of China. The light condition was quite awkward and there was really no place to put a tripod because of the crowd.

    55mm lens at f22. ISO100. 1/10sec.

I posted this in the Leica forum, and I decided to post this here in Dante's Inferno. This image was taken with the S2P with the 120 Macro, and I converted the image to black and white with Silver Efex Pro.

    Re: Fun with MF images

Spring is still here in DC after the storm.
H5D-50c with HC50II. Nice to be able to handhold the new Hasselblad, something I haven't been able to do much with earlier Hassey digitals--at least without strobes. The wind was blowing so I cranked the ISO up to 800. Still working with the colors and ISO on this new camera, but I'm loving it.
