I think this might be the third time I comment your photos in relation to Shinzo Maeda, but some times...

Pramote, you span a wide "gorge" of styles and modes.
But I am a sucker for when you step close to Maeda.

And then some times you brush shoulders with Kenzo Yamamoto.

Not that you in any way is a "copy cat", you stand solid on your own.
But in my eye I some time se a similarity in your imagery.

    And I like

Thank you so very much for your kind words, especially coming from you.
This is one of my favorite places not too far from my home.
Sometimes, I just went there without a camera. There is something in this place which makes me so relaxed.

    Re: Fun with MF images

Sinar Hy6, eMotion 75LV, Schneider 40/3.5 @ f/8, 29s, ISO 100. The Schneider doesn't have the same micro-contrast as Zeiss lenses, but it is sharp when stopped down a little! Long exposures isn't really the forté of this back, but with a touch of noise reduction, it does okay.

Another one, same camera/lens combination, 1/15s, f/8. I missed focus slightly, but there was enough meat in the file to bring it back.

I cannot imagine how much work is required to cover a house like this with slate! Incredible workmanship.

By the way, these were both shot in Goslar, Germany, at the north edge of the Harz.

Remarkable. Along with an inability to imagine the work involved is also the cost!

I was taking out the trash on my way to work when I decided to go around the back side of my apartment complex and ran into this gem here. Can anyone guess why I found it amusing? It should take only a moment to see it.

That it is crooked, or more likely, that it has its own address, but no apparent mailbox?

No shortage of crooked buildings here so it's the latter one: that thing is an electrical utility hut, but for some reason was deemed important enough to get its own address. Until recently Moscow was notorious for lack of any signage for either cars or pedestrians, so there was a project to staple signs on as much intersections and structures as possible.
My guess is that they just looked at Google maps and marked down everything that looked like a building. I'm sure the workers who installed that sign had a laugh too, at least until they get to the doghouse.

It's actually unseasonably warm at the moment, the temperatures are fluctuating wildly! It was only -9 when I took this, should be closer to -19 by now, the lake will freeze soon and will be covered in ice fishing huts.

This shot was taken 3 days ago, it was -17. Not a great shot at all, I keep trying the Leica on aurora shots and just had a couple of minutes to grab this between clients shouting for me to photograph them! This is my office, I start my second of six aurora workshops tomorrow.

    First season in MF

As this season draws to a close for me, it has been great looking back! I finally stepped up and added a Hasselblad to my kit and could not be more happy with the camera and how it shoots! I've been able to raise the level of my work, and the files and prints from the system are just soooo nice! I just wanted to thank everyone who helped me through the transition and provided so much background and experience - especially Marc! Here are a few favorites from the season as I have yet to share:

All H3DII-31 with different light sources, some Profoto some Cheetah!
