Hmm, Pramote you've got me thinking as I've shot that exact Acadia location before and was never able to do much with the colour images due to the muddy brown seaweed vs greens. I'm going to have to go back and give them a review as B&Ws.

Finally, most of our snow pack is gone. My lawn still has 8" or so, but the understory of our forest is almost snow free. This time of year we get vernal streams and pools.

Graham...I'm looking forward to seeing those images in B & W. It's always fun to look back to the old pictures and make the best out of them.

    Afternoon

I hope people don't mind me showing off a little, very happy with getting up my latest exhibition, 13 photographs from recent projects in Iraq, Afghanistan, Darfur, Taiwan, Iceland and home in Sweden. These 4 look pretty good, 1.5m wide prints behind glass, a total nightmare to put together!

    Re: Fun with MF images

I should probably be posting spring images but unfortunately I didn't have a very productive one. Show season is approaching so I've been reviewing my outings from last year and found these two, that I took last October, which I think might have potential as large prints.

The first one is in Zion and the second Capitol Reef. Both taken with a H4D-50, 100mm.

Been a while since I posted over her on the MF forum.. Not that I havnt been shooting, on the contrary!
But , (shock, horror) I have sold all my MF digital gear and have moved over to Nikon for everything digital, but will still be using Real Medium Format (Film ) when I need or want to

I just got back from the annual meeting for Norwegian Pro Photographers and this shot won a silver medal with 90 out of100 points! Shot on film with fuji GF670 at 3 in th emorning between operations after 48 hours of no sleep for a book I am photographing for... So the prize tasted even sweeter

Hey! The new 3 way color wheel in C1 helps. Most of the work was done is PS using channel mixer and curves.

I achieve a lot of my desaturated look and contrast using channel mixer in different blending modes.

California Live Oak, one of the most beautiful trees. I passed this tree numerous times and every time I said, "I need to take my good camera to photograph this." Now I did.

p.s. do you see a "woman" in the tree?

A casual shot with 645z and A200, 1/1250 sec f:4 ISO 400, handheld. Got Lightroom 6, and played with the new HDR function from single DNG (one copy -1 EV for the sky, merged with another copy +3 stops for the shadows). You get an extremely malleable 32bit HDR-DNG, really nice Feature IMO

    Morning!

I thought spring was in full control now but decidedly wintery here again this morning, a few inches of snow overnight and lots of cloud, quick shot from the river early on.

Thank you for the likes on Fun with MF images

FWIW, I have taken my 4x5 out TWICE after this image to see if I can get an even better image, but everything came together with this SWC/M image and I cannot better it. I am naming this image "Dryad." See if you can see why.
