No pretty pix for me today.

Rainy, dreary and I found a couple of structures that seem to emphasize that.

Another XF/SK 120 Macro copy of a Rollei 6008 Fujichrome transparency. Flinders Range, Australia. Interesting how a square format camera encourages square compositions!

    Hi Bill,

I've been doing something similar for the same reason. No light table available so I just sandwiched my negs and transparencies in a magnetic 4x6 lucite block picture frame and used an iPad as a light source. Shooting with an Actus and A7R using 47 DIgitar. I will try with a macro lens to get higher resolution via stitching multiple shots.

    Tea Time - test shot
Made with Hasselblad HC-120 Macro II @ F8 - H5D-50c WiFi tethered shot, focus on the middle of tablespoon (where tea start) at this aperture the DOF permit around 80mm of acceptable focus area, the camera was at circa 1,5m from the subject.
Color are calibrated with X-Rite Color Checker Digital SG, the lighting is from Daylight/cloudy/foggy diffused from the window at color temperature of 5500K measured with a Sekonic C-500 colorimeter and cross checked with withe target, the intent is to obtain a good color reproduction.

    Happy 2016 ! Domenico.

Another shot from the same evening, this time with two differences... Shot at 9pm (an earlier display so that the kids can enjoy it!) - allowing some light in the sky; and shot using the 645D rather than the Z.

Thanks very much aztwang for your kind words.
    It's shot with IQ180/35mm/f/8. Honestly, I couldn't remember exactly where I focused, 10 feet?
Nowadays, if necessary, I would put the weight on DOF more than diffraction.

Sydney received around a month's worth of rainfall over the last couple of days, so I decided it was about time to go in search of waterfalls.

All taken with 645Z and 28-45 DA lens.

One more of the kind of typical modernistic post war architecture as it arose on those places where bombs destroyed the former houses and buildings.

This is in Saint Valèry en Caux.

Pretty chilly for a few days here, down to -35 but a little warmer today. This from yesterday down at the river at -30, camera worked a lot better than I did, cold fingers!

Despite a very mild period, winter has arrived on the Lake Erie shore:

Thanks Michiel. In both cases the stellar 400mm AF handheld. Very light and very good. These shots used a real advantage of the 645Z over the 645D; they would have been very difficult with the latter, as I had no time to set up a tripod and light was fading. With the 645z I used TAv mode with a shutter speed of 1/650 s and didn't worry about the ISO (2500).
