    Great shot.
Really appreciate that. At the time, I felt that the shot was achieved DESPITE the kicks, but, in hindsight, perhaps they did add a certain urgency and motivation to proceedings that may have helped. Nevertheless, I am not sure that the head-kicking photo accessory would have a large market.

I don't know, Bill. I like shots of this landscape in all conditions and thoroughly enjoyed yours.

If you can emulate mine in PS, you'll have to give me the recipe ;-)

Yes, Govett's Leap does have a rather handy car park right there. But I am sure your walk was good anyway - the tracks in those parts are epic, with wonderful views at every turn.

This is great! Where is this? I didn't see any spots like this in NSW. Almost looks like areas of the mcdonald range. Would love to see on my next visit.

Ed, it's adjacent to the old cemetery at Hill End, NSW, north of Bathurst. Your lovely shot of the avenue of trees in Ireland motivated me to look more closely at forests for potential.

    Re: Fun with MF images

    Afternoon!

It's getting to that melting time of year up here in the North, these are by far my least popular photographs but I love shooting down on to the melting ice, capturing the air bubbles and the leaves being uncovered by the increasing power of the sun. I don't mind that people think it's odd that I photograph these things, they look lovely printed big and up on the wall! I'm really enjoying the focus stacking function on the XF, this is a simple 3 image stack at f5.6, very sharp and lots of depth to the print, nice.

    Afternoon!

I managed to pick up an old overhead projector for £20 the other day, reminds me of the long ago days of school!

Anyway, put a piece of white paper on it and an old dried out flower with a piece of glass over the top and just shot straight down with the light on, I quite like this, pretty much straight from the camera apart from a crop.

Good to see your work - I did a couple of versions of this image and when I processed this version I noticed for the first time a ghostly figure off on the right. A fitting portrait in some ways. Thanks for taking me out on a photoshoot last year when I visited T.I.

Somewhere in the Northwest I think - I'll have to check a map and let you know.

I think it was in the region of Marrawah. It was certainly north of Arthur River because that's the next shot in my files!

Those turtle doves are born weeks ago in a flower vase on my balcony, now they can fly and return each morning to greet.

Slowly getting back into things. Iíve been using my new XF a little more instead of the tech camera, really like the 40-80 zoom (other than how big and heavy it is). however, this one is with the old 28mm. This is hiking along the top of Waterhole Canyon just south of Page AZ.

Spring St Just in Roseland Church

    Cornwall, UK.

This Church dates from the 13th century AD with a 6th century heritage. Many allied troops left from this area here for the D Day landings in 1944 and left their names in the visitors book which can be seen in the church. Perhaps the last peace and calm many of them will have known.

Phase One XF, 120LS Macro, 10 image stack using the new focus stacking function in the XF, Capture One 9 then Helicon Focus.
