Travelled to Jogasaki in Izu about a week ago.
(un)fortunately I ventured to the cliffs rather late - fortunate because all sightseeing families left, unfortunate because RZ67 only can manage 4 seconds shutter max and darkness descended rapidly.

One of our Red Haven peaches we harvested this year. We use no pesticides. The white stuff is Surround, a kaolin clay to help protect the fruit from insects.

We call this Indian corn in these parts. Autumn brings amazingly delicious apples here which you can buy from local farms. My favorite is the "honey crisp" apple.

Went downtown for some dental surgery (ouch!) and thought "better take some photos beforehand in case things go badly." Things went fine (still ouch!), and there was even interesting light. Leica S(006), 35/2.5 Summarit.

The best parts of grad school in New Jersey were the local apples and tomatoes. Stayman Winesap were my favorites, but I don't think Honeycrisp existed yet. (Yep, they came out in 1991, I left in '83.)

Have you ever seen a piece of abstract art from a well known painter and wondered why it sold for $1.5 million. This is one of those
pieces of art. I love this image. Would love to see it blown up 30x40

    Re: Fun with MF images

The Adirondacks in New York State are peaking with fall color. This is a shot from a campground site. The area for camping is open and covered with a golden layer of pine needles. The rear of the site has a thin row of hemlocks and then several deciduous trees ending at the lake shore. The sun was shining through the leaves and the site reminded me of a church, with sunlight streaming through stained glass windows. These images gives an idea, but are quite inadequate.
