Re: Fun with MF images, part 2: What are you shooting with that MF back?

Here are some more from my weekend along the coast.

Here is one from the first night, a 90 second exposure at f11 with the 80. the light was odd, a combination of very late sunset and city light creating an eerie glow through high fog. It was a bad exposure to begin with and I had to push it 2 stops in post, so it got a skosh noisy:

Here is the color version of the B&W I posted earlier in this thread with the long range of grays -- I was amazed at how subtle the hues and tones were when viewed on my main box. This was the 210:

Next is taken a half hour later or so as a storm blew in. Taken from roughly the same position but with the 35:

The storm anly lasted a few hours, then later that night we got this. I realize it's a cliche, but hey, I love sunsets and sunrises! Taken with the 55:

Then the final morning's sunrise taken with the 55:

BTW, I was just looking at the jpeg of the first exposure above, and realize I forgot the crop to show noise and detail -- the small jpeg doesn't show either being downsized that much. Here is a 100% crop from the tiff:

Thanks Cemal, I like yours too, especially the color in the second one!

Cemal and Jack, very nice shots.

Justin, I think Rob provided excellent advice in regard to cold-weather shooting. The Phase batteries have been pretty good in cold weather ... with the batteries in the camera body being the ones that don't hold up very well in my experience in the cold.

I will send over 80/1.9 images shortly, Justin, as I just picked up an N version of the lens and I want to compare it with the C version I already have ...

3 images from today. I still have to get used to the slower pace of using a MF camera and I still dont feel I get the IQ in the resized images.
I am working on it. Hy6 with 40mm and 80mm Xenotar.
