Jim, I really like the first shot directly above -- and I like the square crops a lot

Great shot Derek!

I think this is proof positive that MFDB cameras can operate in some extreme temps and climates.

As a native Minnesotan having some experience with ice fishing (many years ago)....this image really brought a smile to my face!

Maybe it's old age, but I'm sure glad I'm outgrew that hobby! :ROTFL:

I really like both of these new images a lot! Again, I liked the first one too, just saying it didn't appear like "fun" fishing to a Californian ;)

Gary and Don, thank you - that chair was a blessing.

Here's another from that day:

Derek, I just looked on your site to see if this shot (fish on ice) was there but I can't see it. Are you doing an edition? If so, I might want to get me a copy, though I am mildly torn between the fish and the chair shots. Both really excellent IMHO.

Best

Jim - not sure if it will be a series, I think just a few keepers.

Jack - It was not easy watching those fish die on the ice, that was uncomfortable.

Tim - I'll PM you; I'm still on a photo trip right now, sort of stuck in Owen Sound in Ontario in some snow and ice. These ice shots are from a photo trip last week, to the St. Lawrence River and Watertown NY. So I have not had a chance to put anything online yet.

Thanks guys, here's another from earlier that morning, about 1/4 mile out on the ice:

Love the length of the fishing pool contrasted with the size of the fisherman in the first image.

In this image....are those um, cracks in the ice? (it has been a long, long time since I have been on an iced over lake).

Happy New Year Steve, I hope all is well.

Yes, I found the size of his fishing pole quite interesting.

And those are cracks that froze over.

Kind regards,
Derek
