So don't hold us in suspense, Jack - what new B&W technique? Educate us!

It is certainly most effective!

Bill,

Here you go, we can finally share: http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21544

Note that "Split-Toning" is a traditional B&W printing process that toned highlights and shadows differently; some chemicals reacted more heavily on the paper stock while others toned more heavily on the activated silver parts. So by combining the base paper color with various chemical baths during the rinse cycles, you would get enhanced tones across the "monochromatic" image, giving it an added impression of depth.

Jack, guys, thank you all for the kind words! Here's another one taken in the Alaskan wilderness with Phase One DF + Leaf Aptus II 10 with Mamiya 300 4.5. I named it "Life is good!" :))))

Still shooting with my P25+, and I don't to uprgrade in anything : the more I use it , the more I like it.

This a split toning preset.

Thanks, Jack - I'd pretty much guessed what was going on and am really really really taken with C1 v.6. Spent most of today reprocessing some old files which no longer need PS!

I was about to buy Nik for B&W - I now wonder if that's necessary.

Hi,

this is an image from a great dune at the baltic sea, Poland. It's my son, 13 years old.
