Fun on a shoot today... HCD28 and 26mm extension tube, even with focus set to infinity the front element was only 1cm away from the nearest bolt threads.. ouch... careful was the word!

I can't stop this. Haven't took off my macro since a week or so.

If you wonder: Its sage (Salbei for my german speaking friends). Tiny tiny flowers...

Stan,

Please show your lighting setup for these flora pics....truly stunning!

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Stan

Truly amazing -- I really like it - the texture and color transition is so nice.

I am looking forWard to shooting MFD flowers, up to now only on my 35FF

What marco lens are you using?

Thanks

Philip

Two portraits, (not the kind that Stan posts!) both with 645D 400mm FA. The first is wide open @ f5.6 and hand-held of a Ring-Beaked Gull; the second is more impressionistic and although I'm not pleased with the shot overall, I find the black and white wings very interesting.

Guys,

I'm happy to say that I'm driving to Paris tomorrow. There, I'll have some different beauty in front of my camera. Until then, I won't miss to show you the lastest:

A anemone (Windröschen for my german speaking friends):

Hasselblad H4D-40
Priolite MB-500 + Beautydish + Grid
Fokus stacking with Photoshop

Isn't she beautiful ?

Philip et al.,

this is always the same setup:

Hasselblad H4D-40
HC 120 mm macro lens
Gitzo tripod
MacBook
Firewire cable
Phocus software
Priolite MB500 flash
Beautydish with Grid
ca. 8 - 10 shots
fokus stacked with Photoshop
... and some magic.

If really needed, I may take a picture of my messy attic while working on these pictures. Although I have a full fledged studio, these pictures are table-top...
