Hmmm... this thread is quiet.

From a few hours ago. Test shots for some new hopefuls. Still some retouching to do.

Graham,
A lot of us Americans are watching the news to see how our future is looking. May account for some lack of activity here :( Meanwhile, beautiful images but I'm curious about that night time shot of the building. If you had used a PC lens could you have eliminated that "tilt" of the buildings.

what tilt? If you're talking about the building further up this page, there is a non-vertical wall on the right hand side. That's part of the building. Every other vertical in the image is perfect.

Graham,
Yes, that's the building I was talking about. I assumed all the walls of the building were vertical and that the strange appearance was due to lens distortion. Forgive my architectural ignorance, it has quite the Leaning Tower of Pisa look to it... :) I also quite like the image of the two models caught mid-stride in the air. Please don't tell me you got that one on the first take :)

From a walk today:

Beautiful landscapes !

I must say I'm amazed by all the details and quality of my new H3DII. It's a real pleasure.

Here an example of my flowers shoots.

Here is P45+ shot
with 80mm (my MF 'walk around, in cities)
Kind of wonder what people really think of Portobello Road! (I have THREE other shots of people photographing the signs - to each his own- I like photographing photographers! LOL)

Really like the Contax for walking around, esp the 80mm

every once in a while, even the autofocus get's it right!

:)

PS C1 processing on this. No post except the std 34% sharpening and WB. The P45+ makes it easy

What I do for a living (Yawn)
Notice now thrilled everyone looks.
The empty seats held folks who just had to take a break after three days of this.

(And it wasn't the three-cornered hat that tipped me off!)

Of course, the only un-manned mac at the table.
We met in the old Commandant's house at the Charleston Navy yard where they keep the USS Constitution.
It demonstrates that you can rent just about anything.

Okay, so you're going to force me to ask --- what's with the three-corner hat???

The park service folks used them as candy dishes.
The place was built in 1804, so I guess they tried to put us in the mood.

Chris at Capture Integration came through once again; I have a shinny brand new Cambo RS1000 and P45+ to test while we’re at the North Rim next week. The kit consisting of the RS, P45, 24mm and 47mm lens arrived here at noon today and for the next 6 hours I put it through its paces. My immediate thoughts after 6 hours are that I really like this system. I’ve tested my Mamiya 28mm with the P45+ and find that the corners fall off just as reported, compared to the 24mm with is totally sharp.

The images were taken with the Cambo RS1000, 47mm lens then merged with CS3.

I have all day tomorrow to get used to the new workflow that it takes shooting with a TC then we’re off to the North Rim.

Did I mention that I really really like this camera?

Don,
I really enjoy these images you post. This is the kind of photography that I love and you do it very well. Looking forward to some more... meantime enjoy playing with your new kit. BTW, aside from corner sharpness do you have any other thoughts about the difference in the Mamiya 28 and the 24.
