Ah yes, civilians! Second only to other photographers wearing bright yellow, pink or orange outfits walking into and staying put in vista scenes (especially when they KNOW they are in your shot!). Photoshop clone stamp and content aware fill are wonderful things ...

I don't know if you have the same tradition in Holland but here, travellers make rock piles called cairns to mark where they have visited...
