Moveable Sliding Adapter for Mamiya 645 Leaf Phase One Back

I have one of those!

The mechanical quality on the one I bought was surprisingly good.
But, the ground "glass" is plastic..

The positiv thing is that the mechanical mounting of the focusing plastic is very smart, easy to remove.
I have ground my own glass for my adapter.

Be prepared to shim the ground glass!
I have done that on all my sliding adapters, including two Mamiya RZ cameras.

My opinion is that they are of very good mechanical quality for the cash I paid for them.
The rest was no surprise to me.

Thank you :)

I have been close to buying this several times, but not sure if I should.

What fresnel/gg did you get?

There was no fresnel included and the ground glass was made of plastic.
Thats why I have made my own ground glass.

ah.. you grinded your own. Not sure if I want to do that myself. What size is the glass?

Is it possible to get hold of a fresnel like Yankee ultra bright that would fit this?

The size of the ground glass is 56 x 56 mm

Regarding commercial fresnels in this size, I have no idea if they are available.
But do you really need them at tiny size like this?
Most of the light from the lens fall straight at the ground glass.
My experience with a fresnel is from 4x5 and 8x10..
But i suspect that is people with lots of experience with this size here on the forum, the users of technical cameras :watch:

In this tread you can see my adapter:

In post #26 you see an example of the focus error on my last adapter.

Post #33 shows my home ground glass in action.
