I have a Leaf digital back but cannot for the life of me find the free download version for people with Leaf backs - Capture One DB.

Sorry to ask such a rubbish question, but can anyone help direct me to this download/tell me how to get it?

Thanks (and apologies!).

There is only one version, you can use it for free with digital backs, but have to buy a license if you want to use it with other cameras.

Peter -

Do you have an original Aptus (or Valeo)?

C1 DB only works with Leaf Aptus-II and newer (Credo) and Phase One digital backs (LightPhase and newer).

For Leaf Aptus, you'd need C1 Pro.

Thank you - does the software just know you are a DB user and so not insist on charging? I guess I was confused due to not being able to find the free DB download link... I guess from your responses there isn't one, but that the software detects your back?

I have a Leaf Credo 60 back, so should qualify.

Thank you for your help!

Hi Peter -

There is just one download version that will be installed in the appropriate mode, depending on what you choose.

During the installation process, you will be prompted to choose a "flavor" of Capture One; either Capture One Pro, DB, Express, Trial, etc.

Just choose Capture One DB when you are presented with those choices.

BTW - you can download the current version of Capture One, as well as archived versions from our site, and it is often a much faster download than downloading from the Phase One main site:

Note: This link also provides downloads for Hasselblad software and firmware. :)
