Any chimes for Equipment insurance here ?

approx totaling to about a 100K.

what do you guys use ? Mal / Jeff, others, any suggestions ?
I am in Australia, but would need worldwide travel cover as well.

Thanks mates.

PPIB | The Professional Photographer's Insurance Broker, WSC Insurance Brokers

I've used them for years and never had a problem, mind you I have not needed to make a claim either.
Cover is worldwide and covers theft. They also insure your computers, monitors and everything else associated with your gear.
You can even pay by the month.

Have fun with your new gear, looking forward to seeing some images from you.

Same as Jeff, I use PPIB and was reassured when I took my gear to Europe for 7 weeks. The peace of mind was worth the dollars.

Jeff / Mal, what strategy do you use ?
do you insure the whole kit (close to 100K) or just the back ?
I'm not being able to make up my mind on that.

I cover all my photo gear on this policy.

Back, body, lenses, tripods, heads, adaptors, filters, computer, external storage etc. If it is related to my photography then it is there. That way no matter where I go and what I do everything with me is covered.

I use my homeowners policy and insure my equipment on a rider to my policy
Insurance is very reasonable and payment is assured

I do the same as Stanley. On a rider policy of homeowners. Covers theft domestic and international (from locked and unlocked car) as well as some breakage. Have already used it once due to a house fire and got full new value for everything claimed. Pricing is very reasonable
