I am too waiting for the A9. But in case that Sony hit a plateau, the 5Ds/r announcements are very fortunate as my FF glass is Canon L.

Hi,
It is just that 2015 may become a very long year…
I am waiting for that 'Sony A9' and thinking about buying a really good short telephoto lens for it.
Best regards

Hi,

Do you need a lot of DR? Otherwise, why not stay with Canon?

Canon makes great lenses, with Sony I am less sure.

Best regards
Erik

Right, my main glass is Canon. I don't mind using a slow adapter. My Sony glass is aps-c only (so far).

I'd like more DR as my main commercial is interior and my main personal is landscapes. For neither I need AF or fast FPS. So I think Sony would fit me better and much possibly at less cost.

But I have to admit the 5DS's look better everyday.

Just upload 4 files
5ds default sharpen / No sharpen
CF-39ms default sharpen / No sharpen

You can download this link, last 4 files.
http://chiek.viewbook.com/5ds

5ds JPG file size is approx 20MB but 39ms(single) JPG file is approx 4~5MB.
5ds developed from canon DPP4, CF-39MS from PHOCUS latest version.
Raw file sizes are similar (5ds : 56MB, CF-39MS : 54MB, CF-39MS multi : 198MB)
Why???
