Which Aerial Photographers Use Medium-Format Gear?

Which aerial photographers you know use or used to use medium-format gear?

So far, I can't say I can list many: Bernhard Edmaier, Stephan Zirwes, Nick Rains used to shoot with Leica S, Cameron Davidson, Adriel Heisey used to use the the once workhorse of aerial photographers Pentax 6×7.

Which ones can you list?

Hans Strand uses Hasselblad. He's a landscape and aerial guy. His Icelandic aerials are superb.

There is another photographer who shot great aerials of Iceland, albeit with the Nikon even though he owns a Hasselblad – Andre Ermolaev:

You can find some names in our case studies archive. These companies do mostly mapping and photogrammetry work and there are hundreds of Phase One cameras out there doing this kind of work.

Christian Fletcher another Australian photographer who has shot a lot of aerial shots lately uses a Phase One, I have personally seen some huge prints 60" plus in his gallery and they look amazing.

I'm an architectural specialist and I occasionally shoot buildings from choppers. I use both my Alpa STC and Phase One DF with my IQ180.

I do and I love it. I use a H4D-40 and I think it is so much better then my Nikon bodies. I can take handheld pictures at 125th and have them sharp!
