XF triggering question

Hi all -

Does anyone know whether the XF can somehow generate a trigger signal that could be used by an external controller once the camera is ready to take the next shot?

I'm thinking that with the ability to trigger the shutter once vibration is minimised, it could be an "interesting" camera to use in combination with the Seitz VR drive, but I'd need the camera to instruct the tripod head when to move to the next location.

Kind regards,

Gerald.

...maybe if your external controller can make use of the flash sync signal sent by either the XF's built-in Profoto Air or other triggering device in the hotshoe?

Like all cameras, the PC connector will close the contact between its 2 parts when a picture is taken. You can use the function to trigger the flash at the end of the exposure, so that this contact is closed at the end of the exposure. Maybe add a small delay to make sure the head will not start moving too soon (which is probably a standard function on your head) and you have your system.
