Is there a short multi-connector/sync cable for the Leaf Credo?

That is currently the only multi-connector that Phase One supplies for both Phase One and Mamiya Leaf Credo backs.

You could use the short pc sync cable they supplied for the V system, but you will need the adapter to convert it to multi-connetor, depending on which digital back you have.

Hey Guys,
I am curious whether there is a shorter version of this multi-connector/sync cable I found at B&H?

This one is 16" long, but I want a shorter version.

You can also mate the short adapter that Chris has pointed to with the Aptus short sync cable. Note that if you're looking to use the back on e.g. view/ tech camera then you will be best served by getting a Wake-Up cable plus the short adapter.

Chris,
I already have the two cables in your last two links. I was simply looking to clean up the cable a bit with a single one from lens to back.

Hi Yair,
The purpose for my question...

I use the Credo 60 on the XF 95% of the time.

I also (infrequently) use the C60 on the RZ67 ProIID (look ma, no cables!! LOL)

I am now getting ready to use the C60 on a Cambo Wide RS. Hence, my question. As I mentioned in my reply to Chris, I already have the two-piece cable setup. I was just looking to clean it up to a single cable solution. Is there a downside to doing this?

Thanks,
Ken

The downside is that without the wake-up cable you'll have to keep the back in Zero Latency mode which (depending on ambient temp) can increase heat slightly and use more batteries.

Yair,
I am curious...so, a technical question for you..
If the sync plug at the lens is (presumed) only a two conductor cable/connector, it would seem it is either open circuit or closed circuit. If that is the case, what action provides the wakeup before releasing the shutter? Why would the two-part cable be any different than the single cable?

the wake-up cable has a small button on it...

It would be very desirable to have a shorter cable with the wake up button or a shorter cable like the long Multi-pin you showed in your pictures, but Phase One simply has not brought that as an option to market. I am sure much of this is supply vs demand.

The Kapture Group made a one shot cable release for 18 years that supplied, but they have since ceased manufacturing this. They made this with a nice short cable, which fit tech cameras very well. It was a love/hate relationship for many using it, but I always enjoyed using it to capture images since you release it very similar to a film camera system. There was no need to push the wake up button then release the cable within 5 sec.

So that leaves you with 2 options, either use in Zero Latency mode or use the wake up method.

Good luck.

The third, albeit not inexpensive, option is to use an Alpa cable/sync release. Works great but a bit of an investment, especially if you have a couple. :facesmack:
