If that means you pay us to buy them, sounds like a good price to me! No wonder all six have sold already!

Sign me up for the next batch! :)

Oh.. you sure can reserve:eek: that bill.. for about 30 days.. until your Am Ex / Visa or MC bill comes.

Don.. I think it would make a great gift for Sandy for your anniversary!

Chris, look closely at the positions of the 's' and the 'v' in that word :)
Well.. I need to utilize my spellcheck a bit better! That would be RESERVE a cube. Hey Guy or Jack.. can you make a Smilie with a Dumbass on it?

Hehe, I would love to see a reversed Cube. What would that even look like? Are these the anniversary editions or the full ones with leather pouch?

These are the anniversary ones. They do not come with the leather pouch, but are at a great price!

A great piece of equipment for sure. Magic for architecture and landscape work.

Over priced!
The Multiflex does the same for $975 USD
Perhaps it does. How long have these been around? Where are they serviced?

I've owned a fair amount of AS equipment and in the rare case that any adjustment was needed I got prompt service from Precision in Chicago. In the case of a B1 head Diane sent a loaner to cover the few days of repair time as I was in the middle of a project and couldn't wait. Money is important but it can't be the only consideration - one's comfort level and confidence in equipment is v. important.

My comment doesn't make you wrong Rethmeier, we all have to cater to our own requirements.

Arca-Swiss 85 years old? Come on now. Unless that's the year Martin Vogt was born, they're pulling something fishy here. Late 1940's or early 1950's is a bit more like it IIRC.

But I do love their gear. I used to own a complete F-Classic kit, plus their ball head. Still have the ball head. Can pull a boat with it.

Just can't afford The Cube. I make due with a Manfrotto 3 way geared head which even on a good day is still a poor substitute for The Cube.

I heard Manfrotto 410 Head does it for only $220.00
:toocool:
That's the one I have. It's just sort of okay. White metal, can be a bit bouncy, but no real alternative unless you want to spend huge dollars.

405 is meant to be heavier. It costs about twice as much. I'll be picking up a 410 though. My longest lens at the moment is 120mm, and it won't go beyond 210mm for quite a while, so the 410 will do. I also have a BH-55 in case the going gets tough.

As an Induro tripod a copy of a Gitzo?

The Cube was never patented and I totally agree the Multiflex is a copy of the Cube.

The Cube is based on a Gionometer.

I compared both and I can tell you, The Cube is not worth the extra $1000 USD

At archivue:

The service that I'm getting from PhotoClam is spot on.
At least they reply to my emails.
Every time I emailed AS I never had a reply.
