Based upon my experience with a Horseman SW612, I have always felt that Alpas were gorgeous cameras from a build standpoint, but suffered from three fundamental flaws. One, you can't focus them accurately, and with a high megapixel back, that's a real big problem. Two, you can't compose accurately. Three, you can't see the actual effect of the lens on perspective. The little device Alpa has come up with attempts to deal with the second issue, composition. My Horseman had a similar "device". It was useless.
