I realize the Question I am about to ask should be in the analog thread
but here goes anyway to All you Nikon Heads

I have been recently bit by the SLR Bug...the Evil SLR ... :eek::ROTFL:
and have Fancied a Nikon FM3a & nikkor 50 1.2 ais
the shutter goes up tp 4000 / Is that correct ?
Any THoughts about this Nikon ??

Seriously though, I am not sure. There are a few around here in Iceland...I don't think they view it as a problem...perhaps it is so that it was more visible in the snow? Most of the churches here are white with red roofs...

Helen re: the FM3A... Yes, if I remember correctly the shutter max is 4000. Many find it to be a very lovable camera. Built strong, good metering and TTL flash capabilities, unobtrusive, reliable.

Very nice! I'd love to know why black though. I'd thought about the snow thing but figured it would be the case in other places as well if that were true.
