Jorgen,
Wow, I am amazed at how many great shots you are able to consistently get. I assume you always have a camera with you?

Thank you, Terry.

Yes, always, except at parties, and when I forget, there's always a shot that I would die to get, like last week, when a singer I know appeared on stage in a white dress and with orange angel wings. The cutest devil you ever saw....

Remember the photojournalist's motto:

F/8 and be there.
I knew a pj once, who lived by that rule. He had one camera, an F4, and one lens, a 35mm. He's technique was faultless: "I just point the camera in the general direction of the subject, and leave the cropping to the desk."

I don't think he won any prizes though, but neither have I

For some reason, an unforgettable movie dialogue pops up in my head:

Carrie: Don't you ever take off that stupid hat?
Bandit: I take my hat off for one thing, one thing only.
Carrie: Oh...

Carrie: Take your hat off.

Unfortunately, Sally Field is never around to ask about my camera

During my futile search for red among the Christmas photos, I only found pink, and I suspect she didn't even celebrate Christmas...

S5 with 70-300 ED @ 165mm and f/8

ahhh Jorgen, you're doing it again! By the way how do you keep on doing it? I like your HK views too but this old woman is precious.

I'm amazed too, our Jorgen is very underrated in the pro world. He seems to be everywhere and always manages to bring a positive note to otherwise sad subject matter.

David, you are far too kind, but thank you.

Here's one without any people in it: the Grand Lisboa casino in Macau. The most fascinating architecture I've stumbled upon ever.

There are some really beautiful, old Portuguese churches in Macau. Only minutes before I took the photo, this one was packed with Chinese, singing psalms and Christmas carols.

D80 with Tamron 17-50 @ 17mm and f/4.5. Yes, I know, it's tilted, but I'm lazy.

OK, this photo may not be a masterpiece but I got to use several Christmas presents at the same time. To wit, my new Gitzo ballhead with RRS clamp and L-bracket, my new ML-3 IR trigger for my D300 and the Parks Sabers lightsaber my son got me for Christmas.

Yours truly, Jedi Knight:
