Corlan: These are INCREDIBLE! The first draws you into that macro world. So detailed. The second's a brilliant composition and use of DOF. "Painterly" in the best way. And no wussy cropping!

Cheers, Matt

Thanks Matt.
The thing is that i was passing by and got time for only one shot for each. The wider angle from the car seat, widow open, then hastily got out for the "crops" and had to drive away (they have road works with unfriendly yellow suits even in remote places...).

More from the Fremont Solstice Parade. I went to the end of the parade and I'm processing from back to front. sort of evens out the parade and nude bicyclist photos. See more at http://mdriscoll.zenfolio.com/p227269964. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Matt

Sounds like fun. Osman's right, in time you had us all look differently at Seattle. Good job.

Oh by the way, i did receive the sixpence from Steve for the tweety outfit and want to return the favor. I'm thinking #2, or maybe #4, would do. Please watch your paypal account, and thanks for your kind assitance.

Wow. More gorgeous photos Rayyan. The light is fantastic on this set, depth's amazing in the mountains shots, and colors sumptuous in the last one. That Switzerland trip was quite a journey... how long was your stay over there?
Agree With My Friend Totally Rayyan!

Tons of good stuff keeps piling up in this thread!

Leif: The tracks are both very nice. Difficult light and you've succeeded in making it work.

Corlan: Superb wheat and unusual to see it "green" since it is usually presented as "golden". Thanks for sharing.

Matt: Parades are considerably sexier in your neighborhood than they are in mine! Cool series.

Here's a bit of British nostalgia for you, a 40 year old Escort Mark 1, being raced at the local circuit here in Pattaya.

Tim, thanks. It was actually greener, if not for the warm, late afternoon light. out of the box temp was realistic though, so i chose not to process after the fact.

Jorgen: super. The mid-day shadow adds to the composition and movement... and you're definitely pushing the panning technique to its limits
(next time though we want the same OOF but seeing the logo on the wheel rim   :D).

Jorgen!
Great, fast image - and nostalgic! A friend of mine´s brother won a standard version of that car in lottery, probably 67 or 68. They had it for some time, then the two brothers pooled their money and traded it for a GT a year later. Sky blue metallic. I´ll never forget the sound of Sly and the Family Stone on 8track tapes in that car! :D

Jorgen: Amazing panning control. Nostalgia indeed.

Another classic, ready for take-off.

D80 with 80-200 AF-S @ 130mm, f/13 and 1/100s

Classic indeed. The first car I could afford..10th hand...still love it.

Remarkable race circuit shoots. :salute:
