South Cronulla Beaches (Sydney) with Nikon D90 and Nikkor 10-24mm

A nice sunrise this morning but quite difficult to shoot from some angles from where I was as the sun came up at the edge of dark clouds to the north and little to the south.

These photos are taken from a small beach between Cronulla Beach and Shelly Park Beach (Sydney beaches).

The first shot is this sequence starts before "first light" and the last one after sunrise.

All photos taken with a Nikon D90 and Nikkor 10-24mm zoom.

CC welcome.

Faboulous sunrise series, Peter, and dramatic with the clouds in fire.
You obviously control the highlights and dark areas very well in your capture and post processing.
The AF-S DX 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 G looks like a very nice performer, though of course as usual it is difficult to judge from downsized web images.
Beautiful result
