Nikon D3 - what is your favorite AF setting when shooting people, weddings?

RAW only for me. I don't use any of the picture styles, preferring to do it in post.

RAW AF? That sounds fast
What's fast is apparently my reading of the question. Thanks for setting me straight Jorgen.

Ok, AF settings. Hm... For portraiture, I use AF-S, and Single Point AF, becuse I always choose the point of focus, and I always choose my subject's closest eye.

For Weddings, during the ceremony, or for reception candids, I use AF-C, and typically use Dynamic area AF (using 21 points). For wedding portraits, formals, etc. I use the AF-S, Single Point AF method again.

Hope that helps. Sorry about my earlier confusion.

AF-C with AF-ON only enabled. Covers 97% of anything you'd want to shoot.
