Thank you, Mikael. I can assure you that there's a lot more to like than the composition, but you would have to be in Thailand to experience that

    Beautiful summer night
I wish I had more time to take photos during myh short visit to Norway earlier this month.

Uwe, looks like you didn't have any problems focusing. They look fine. How the rest of the camera behaves in this conditions?

Did not do much with faster moving objects (except airshow and this). Seems fine.

Took my D800e and 85 1.4G to Burro Days in Fairplay, Colorado yesterday...did handheld shooting and I'm amazed at the quality of this camera and lens combination. The micro detail in the red wood in amazing. Iso 64 Eleanor

    Graham,

what was the light source for the orb? I used an LED torch for one of my attempts at this and got an oddly shaped ball of dotted lines.

I have to practice twirling the silly thing as well.

    D2Xs with 80-200 AF-S @ 200mm and f/4

Shooting with the D2Xs is a superb experience. One thing is the smooth operation and quick response, but most importantly for me is the sorry for using using a somewhat worn phrase filmlike output. Colours are exactly to my liking and from ISO 400 and up it produces a grain/noise structure that makes me think "black and white style grain in a colour image". The ISO is pretty much limited to 400 or 800 for largish prints, but I'm used to that. If I ever start talking about selling this camera, please tell me not to be an idiot

I agree, it's a great camera. I've had three of them, and sometimes still regret selling them. Fortunately, my son has one of them, so I could borrow it, if needed. Great shots, too, Jorgen.

Wonderful depth to that one, Gary. From the grains in the air to the palms in the background, and the focus on the women, really nice.
