    Re: Fun with D800 Photos

a hike through Fall Creek in Felton with a new Zeiss ZF.2 21mm f2.8

no cloud cover at all, full sunlight through the trees.. first one was light coming from the upper left.. not directly into the lens, but still enough that the Leica 21mm 2.8 preasph would be toast here.

2nd is shot directly into the sun.... i don't recall another lens that has passed this yet.

Jim, the wonderful detail and soft light and of course the toning is stunning here! Well seen. Eleanor

This is one I wish I'd taken! Beautiful and the color tonalities could easily pass for medium format. Eleanor

Good for you! I hope you have a great time and enjoy your 800e and Zeiss lenses. I look forward to seeing your pictures.
I look at your website and found out we share something in common, physician family. Both of us are still practicing medicine in Denver. Hope I can have more time to do the same thing as you do in the future.

That was sort of the intent! (And thank you too!)

What I didn't share above is this is a very public tourist attraction and there were probably a couple hundred folks in the tower either going up or coming down, so I had to wait and time this shot between sets of the masses.

What a thread! It's a damn good thing that it's the photographer and not the camera, or I'd go out now and get a D800 and some lenses.

You get it too although your's may have a yellow tinge to it and help with sunsets although not so great for respiratory problems.

Long exposure 45 sec with ND and polo filters. Nikon d5000, Nikor 35mm f1.8 shot at f16.

This is part of a larger collection that I will be showing this winter here in Rincon, Puerto Rico.

Thanks for looking and for any comments.

Very nice, Todd. That water has a real mystical feel.

(Great place, Puerto Rico. I lived there for nearly two years back in the early 70s. I was in Arecibo, San Juan (Rio Piedras area), and Utuado.)
