Rayyan: Very touching portrait of your granddaughter; you can immediately feel the tension ...

Steve: Simply strong series of a powerful sport, particularly like the last one - puts it in a nutshell.

    One more with the Nikon

Steve, fotom, Rayyan: Thanks for the kind words and the encouragement, really much appreciated! Thanks, of course, for the "Likes" too.

fotom: That depends on the camera I use. In this case, as in general with my Nikons, B&W conversion to taste in Capture NX 2, with my Sony cameras in LR 4 and, occasionally, SEP (1).

Not forgetting: Nice mirror imaging in your picture of the FFM Skyline. (Though to be honest: Apart from composition, I liked the similar prospect in post # 7456 better, mainly due to the remaining light.)

    Thank you, Hermann.

The picture above was a shootout between H3DII-50 and the D800. I have some others, but due to the weather they all look like that one.

    What is SEP1?

Sorry for the abbreviation: It meant the NIK plugin for Lightroom and PhotoShop "Silver Efex Pro", version 1 (last year followed by a version 2).

It's a Canon, but it was shot with Nikon D800E and 85mm 1.4G.. (there is some moire present around the front element, the non E version would have done better here..)

I did post this over on the portraits of your gear thread but seeing as its a Nikon image I thought I would also post it here...
