This might be a more square(and not so elegant perhaps) copy of this Danish architect Hans Wegner "The Chair", used by John F. Kennedy, Obama etc.
Take a look at the original, but it's not cheap, but well-made:

I just returned from a three day trip to the Merced River Canyon just outside of Yosemite. The Redbuds were a little past prime but still very photogenic.

A couple of shots taken at the local marina with the Rokinon (Samyang) 14mm f/2.8 on the D800e. Handheld raws processed through LR4.4 and PTLens. Thanks to Guy for bringing this lens to our attention. Truly a bargain and great performance.

    Antonio,
This is superb!. The Horseman gives you tilts & shifts?
Does anyone make an adapter that will allow the use of Enlarging lenses?
I have a few Rodenstock APOs.........I bet they would be sharp.
    All the best,
    Mike

Just right Mike. You get tilt, shifts and rear shifts for stiching. You get lens mount for these lenses as well.

I have two Rodenstock APO Rodagon D (80 and 120mm) they are superb. They were design as enlarging and taking lenses for macro photography in mind.

The Rodenstock APO Rodagon N are in the same league.

I also have a Nikkor AM-ED 120mm APO 6x9 lens that allow me to go 2:1 for Jewellery details. I had a Durst Seimar enlarging mount soldered to a Horseman mount to be able to go that close. The 120mm mounted on the horseman mount won't allow more that 1:2.

The 120's are my favourite lenses as I don't need to be so close to the piece.

    Thanks for the comments.

    Fun with Nikon Images

Fascinating solution, Antonio, and the copper ring picture looks really great.

Does it expose the sensor to a lot of dust or is it not a major problem ?

Hi Steen, thanks for the comment.
You get a bit more dust than usual, I get to clean more often but not a problem for me. I have my cleaning ready every 2 weeks.
Same as a MFD with technical cameras I guess.

One from yesteryear. Still believe the D700 is the one to beat.

Can new models be just a fad? Hope not; seeing the frenzy they develop, combined with people salivating at the thought of possessing the latest...
Of course, for some a new model leads to frothing at the mouth..in contrast to the salivating population.

    Re: Fun with Nikon Images

Folks, very very many thanks ( screw the english constructs ) for the ' likes '.
I am truly grateful to you all.

Last night I was watching a re-run of one of my favorite tv series...Battlestar Galactica.

During one of the episodes, i remembered something, got up, found it and showed it to my grand daughter. She is over here from Texas to keep me company. Each day with her, my health seems to be returning on steroids.

Anyway, I wanted to show her a symbol. I wanted her never to forget the courage and ingenuity of the human species. And I want her to be proud of Texas and her country, the USofA. She was born a long long time after the incident took place. But it is etched in my mind. The tears and prayers that we expended during that ordeal. And the joy...

It started with a simple message, to a place in Texas..' Houston, we have a problem.'

Do we remember these names? Lovell, Swigert, Haise.

Lest we forget. My salute to the courage and ingenuity of those that put their lives on the line so that mankind might take a step forward.
