There is one unwritten rule in this forum: you are not a real photographer until you post some cat shots. So here is a shot from last week, Cheetahs in the Olare Orok Area, Kenia. D800, 135 Apo and a little cropping.

Very nice B&W conversion Y Sol.
Impressive what quality the small sensor of the V1 can yield.

D800e, 14~24mm lens at 14mm, 1/640 sec at f13, ISO 400, monopod. Sky isolated to it's own layer, and levels applied to bring back the sky as I remember it. Developed from RAW in DXO.

Yes, since you asked () - the B&W one by some margin.

The Matanuska River valley, on a beautiful fall day about 3 weeks ago. Shot with a Nikon D700 and the 24-120 f4 VR lens.

Today however, to paraphrase the song "California Dreamin'", all the leaves are gone and the sky is grey.

Folks, thank you for the ' likes '.

A few years ago, someone I knew wanted to train for a climb!!

So we found ourselves a nice place. Nothing fancy..treks, climbs and hikes.
I mostly sat at home looking around.

Once in a while, I would walk a few paces and got tired..and just sat..doing nothing..just watching.

    It was a lovely place.

    Evening!

Had an amazing night out watching aurora tonight, spectacular display.

This is a first quick shot, no real post on this so excuse the fact that it looks a bit rough, I was happy to get a bit more context in to the shot with the trees and stream.
