From London Eye. Cabin glass degraded IQ greatly, but nevertheless I'm happy with the image.

    Morning

Just a quick recce shot from yesterday, miserable weather but I like how this came out. I shall be back when there's some decent light.

    Afternoon.

Revisited my last shot but with a little light, much better.

Hmm, the jpeg compression makes it look a little hdr but it isn't, just a straight b&w conversion and a little tint, never mind.

Photo of Taughannock Falls -- a 200'+ high falls just north of Ithaca, in the finger lakes area of New York (USA). Having grown up right next door to Niagara Falls, All I can say of this falls is -- Awesome! With the spray of the falls, I really didn't want to get any closer - I may have to invest in an underwater case or some type of protector.

    Afternoon

I got the chance to shoot inside an amazing old power station, pretty incredible place built in 1914! I took some general recce shots and have narrowed down a few views to concentrate on, will return next week. Can't help thinking this would be a great spot for a model shoot.

It's HDR "without the HDR"- i.e. it does not s*ck. I like it.

    Thanks
Shooting MIF turned out to be more difficult than I thought.
Got around 1.5K shot in about two hours time but most were not satisfactory.
Using Sigma 150 macro should have given me better result, though my fellow shooters got very good one from 80-400 AFS. One thing I noticed is the persistent overexposure and lack of ISO control...while I set my aperture to 8 and shutter speed to 1/1000. While underwater, we deliberately use flash combing the fastest possible syn speed and smallest aperture plus lowest possible base ISO to achieve better images.

    Evening

Lovely day here in the North today, I stopped at a bridge over the river to take a quick shot of the forest, as I walked back to the centre of the bridge a flock of swifts I think flew down and started feeding in front of me, managed to grab a shot before they flew off again, shame I didn't have time to up the shutter speed and freeze the flight. Not a great image but i like it anyway.
