I GOT MYSELF A NEW TOY!!!

Delivered yesterday! A Gigapan Pano head. This thing is amazing. The photo here is my very first attempt at using it. Nikon d3200 with 55mm lens, and an 8x3 picture exposure. The FOV was about 160+/- degrees. The stitching software with it is great!

The photograph is of the Adirondack High Peaks (about 50+ miles away) taken from a lookout on Prospect Mountain at the southern end of the Adirondacks.

We got fibre-optic broadband a couple of weeks ago making the uploading of images like this a real delight compared with the service we were getting over the old copper wires - up to 70 times faster.

Ibarra Mocha, extra chocolate, no foam, 2% milk.
    Nikon D700 and the Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art lens....at f1.4 of course.

I was second on the wait list for this lens in Nikon mount at my local camera shop. It finally arrived yesterday. I only had time for a couple of quick shots before heading back to the office. The build quality etc is very high, as expected.

I hope to take shots of something a bit more interesting this weekend, although I've been in a deep photo "slump" for several months now, so no guarantees.

    Afternoon.

I have just returned from a recce trip up North, the weather was pretty spectacular. The jpeg has crushed this a little, there is no clipping in the original.
