Peter: Beautiful "pano" of the pool!
Steen: Wouldn't go ice skating either! Nice reflection in the 1st. Elegant compositions with the track in the snow and the windy grass.
Tim: Keep up the good work! It's only early February. Incredible IQ in that set of photos.
    Jorgen: Nicely composed and captured!
Lloyd: Brilliant use of light and shadow from your "front porch". Do you live in an RV?
Matt: To quote Steve: "Peaceful serenity".
Steen: to quote Steve: "fine "Viablexonian" shot"
Steve: Very cool fisheyes. All are my favs.
    Frits: Very clever, cool, self-portrait.
Peter: Well captured and presented mural.
Rayyan: The sacrifices you make! You didn't want to see Kilimanjaro before the snow was all gone?

    Cheers, Matt

It is very hot. In more ways than one!!

    It is very humid too.

I have a severe jet lag.

All the staff at the hotel know me by name. Good, but not surprising. I am the
dark one..just one. Some guests think I checked into the wrong hotel!!

Won' tell you about me going swimming in the pool! Hilarious. Some other time.

Here then is the empty pool...

Rayyan: Hot, eh? I'm almost jealous. But I'd probably be complaining about it in a day or two. Gorgeous shot. Looks like you're really roughing it.

Matt: I don't envy you that Chicago weather this year! Nice shot, really tells the story.

    re: Fun with Nikon Images

Balinese dances and dancers are world renowned for their grace, beauty, color, costumes, and grace.

I went to watch a dance. there were 300 others. With cameras, teles, flashes
    and what not...

I did not watch the dance. Talked my way backstage.

Who cares about the dance. I wanted to meet the dancers. Or their friends.

I stayed all the time watching them prepare. Talking and shooting. That's what I do when I feel sad...away from home. All alone. I didn't intend to remain alone for long..

Matt, Hi. Hope you enjoy Hawaii. Last time I was there I was young!!

You are more than welcome to travel with me Matt. A pleasure. I shall say ' I am with him ' this time around.

I shall sit thru a dance just for you!!

Black and white signifies evil and good. Darkness and light. Yellow and white is
    one step up..more holy.

    Take care. Best regards.

I am told that to appreciate Balines art, culture, and life one has to appreciate the smallest of details. The flick of a girl's eye, the movement of a finger, the color/s and engravings on the art forms.

Too early for me to absorb, but a pleasure to try..

Great shot of the two dancers, Rayyan. You make me envious. Where's the way to Bali, I wonder... (or should I unpack my dirty laundry from Cambodia first?).

Sorry that I can't post any Cambodia photos here. They were all taken with the GH1.

Steve, photos that make me feel I am there. That is a gift. you demonstrate that quality in these captures.

Riots of color in the first.

#s 2,7,8,10 are sublime and glorious.

    Brilliant shooting.

Fabulous photos, Vlad, both the street and the fashion crowd.

I would love to join you in Bali, Rayyan, but something tells me that work has to be my priority for a couple of weeks.

Thanks everyone. This one's a random beauty that I shot prior to the Marc Jacobs show tonight. That look, mesmerizing.

Feel the spirit of place. Feel the spirit of Bali.
