Italian food and Italian cars. Here's a little something for Alfisti :)

I think dinner today will have to be at the local Trattoria :p

Or at the Bierstube :D

Nice! I especially like the the liberal application of duct tape on that Mercedes!

If you can't fix it with duct tape, it can't be fixed!

+ 1, Agree.

Its my believe the world is now held together with duct tape and photoshop. Perhaps Adobe should issue a fresh new roll of tape with each new upgrade to PS.

Wife and I were lucky to meet and interview the incomparable Shontelle today. She is such a wonderful lady to talk to, such a kind spirit!

Busy times these. I use my bed at home mostly as storage for the bags I keep packing and unpacking.

Steve, your yoga photos are top

The pizza season has started again... or was that the racing season? I'll try to find one of those race photos for you. In the meantime, this pizza photo will have to do :toocool:

D80 with Tamron 17-50 @ 50mm and f/2.8

Unfortunately, the young lady lost her ride home the next day, so I kind of had to offer her a lift the 200 kilometers, usually less than 3 hours. But there was a rainstorm, so it took five, and we had to stop for dinner :p

The sufferings we have to live with :D
Being a true gentleman is a burden, hey?

Thanks all!!

I actually do think those were TV lights, this was their media room at Universal Mowtown and they had them there permanently.

Some sort of 110V continuous Tungsten lighting though umbrellas. Great eye, Corlan.

Was thinking initially Dedolights or alike, but the soft, graduated transition was a question mark. Thanks for clueing me in about the shoot through umbrellas.
Outstanding light quality (and photo, obviously :))

Matt, with a lushy, exotic background and a somehow more agressive PP, #1 could be one of Rayyan's collection...

#2: can't say if it's daring on purpose or accidental. I'll bet for the former :p

Oh! you poor unlucky man. I am sorry for what fate has dealt you. Maybe prayers might help avoid such misfortune in the future.:D

Rayyan, you have spent so much money on cameras and lenses, screamed my wife.

What could it be, I thought. Not PMS, not for a grandmother.

Even with all these cameras and lenses your photos are crap. Over contrasty, over saturated and over sharpened, she added. And meaningless, she woofed.

Why can't you take pretty pictures like the others. Ones we can hang on our walls.

It clashes, she continued, with our decor. And our color scheme, screaming.

But dear, I said softly, that is how I see. They just comes out that way.

Maybe a new camera might help, I suggested very politely.

Reflections of different kind...
Contrasts, too.

Technically quite impressive, Jorgen.
Considering the angle, not sure how you achieve this. Yup, impressive.

Thanks, Corlan. It's a little bit luck, lots of practice and knowing the rules. Looking at thousands of photos captured by the real top motorsports photographers helps too, as does a few hours every week at the gym.

This one was extreme, due to the angle, the long shutter speed vs. the focal length and the fact that the cars came out from behind an obstruction just a fraction of a second before. This guy, Jack Lemward, is faster than the others, so he jumps further, giving me a tenth of a second or so extra, which is very helpful.
