Rayyan: Sounds good to me! Wouldn't work in my case, though....
Matt thanks. The other option is to come and let the in-laws pay for it all; for a change!! In Chicago too!!...
Rayyan: It was dull and desolate. It was probably a Sunday. Behind me was the, yet to be saved and renovated, Pike Place Market.Matt, good historic record. Seems dull and desolate though.
These are lovely. I love boats. Fishing boats in particular. You have caught the color and the repair/paint needed. Very Good.
Corlan: It seemed to fit here. Nice description.Matt, i'm happy you decided to post here one of my very favorites of yours.
While not much is perfect per se in there, it has the rare ability as a whole to take you for a stroll down memory lane -whether you know the place or not.
A unique atmosphere... there's sadness, nostalgia, solitude, but still hope.
What pops up in my mind when trying to express the mood is "tranquil desolation". Or something like that.
A rare photo.

Ben: Beautiful locomotive, and, photo! :thumbup:Nikon D2X, AF-S 16-85mm lens
Tim: Constructive project. You know, they sell that stuff in 4x8 sheets? Kidding. Have fun. :thumbup:Been involved in a bunch of property maintenance stuff. One project is replacing the field stones in the chimney of the barn. The original build wasn't that great and the mortar was rotting away. After dismantling the rotted part, the rebuild has begun. None of these are art, just a record of some of the fun stuff I'm allowed to play with in pre-retirement.
Best,
Tim
Steve: Sharp photo! Nice B & W. Does the bokeh have a "swirl" pattern?

Lloyd, while this and the other set are both lovely, these two imho are gorgeous. She shall be proud to hang them on her wall and show it to friends.Had the privilege of shooting the HS senior portraits of a special young lady this week. We've known her since she was a pre-teen, and always considered her cute, but quiet and shy. We couldn't have been more wrong! When we started the shoot she really came out of her shell... she lit up the place like a carbon-arc spotlight. We had a blast. Here are some results.
