I totally love this series, Joe. A timely reminder that I must go back there soon. Seems like you had typical Hanoi weather too :)
Are the last ones from the Long Bien Bridge?

Been posting in the Medium Format, Fuji x100 and Fuji X-Pro 1 forums here at GetDpi.
Not sure why I've never posted images here in the Nikon forum.
Totally impressed with the images here - some of the best I've seen.
Well, here are a few with a D700 from a recent trip to Hanoi, Vietnam.
These are two University students from Hanoi.
Shot with the 85/1.4 and 50/1.4.
Hope you like them.

Thanks Jorgen. yes the Long Bien Bridge.
Silly us - went out for a sunset shoot.
Of course, no sun, just hazy cloudy mucky sky
It worked out for the best because the lighting was to die for.
Such a cool bridge with the bikes zipping by, a narrow walkway, a train now and then and corn venders where space permits.
In Hanoi for less than two days, but such a great experience.
I want to go back as well.
Thanks again.

Re: Fun with D800 Photos

How do you like the 85mm f/1.8G. Just got mine and I like it.
Other than some problematic purple fringing in certain situations, I really like it... a lot. The Bokeh is very nice at wide apertures and it seems to be pretty sharp from wide open.

I think it's going to become a classic value lens in the Nikon lineup.

In my next life, I want to be a cement sales rep in Hong Kong. Must be a very secure path to wealth :p

Not too bad. I can walk up and down stairs normally now, which is an improvement. Heading to Sun Valley this weekend, and the plan was for some easy hiking. I think I'll be ok. Thanks for asking.

Glad to hear the suggestions worked. Keep it going!
