Evening!

Here's a quick shot from somewhere I can't pronounce! Early morning and sunlight hitting the ice just right.

Somebody got a new bike, even if it wasn't really her birthday :)

Getting the hang of my new (to me) D800e. Shot with the Nikon 50mm f/1.8.
Looks very nice, Carlos
And tasty :)
Congrats on your new tool.
What are your first impressions compared to all the other gear you try out, and dare we hope for a small 'review' at a later stage ?

Anyone else enjoy 'stitching' two frames to make a panorama, where the frames are from entirely different scenes but have shapes that flow into each other? It's a little game I play...

Neat idea, Tashley.

Question: what is the 24-70mm like on the D800E?

I almost forgot to abide by the (Unwritten) ByLaws of GetDPI: "You must post a cat picture with your new camera in order to make it yours."

Decided to challenge myself with the newest member of the family (who had gone to the vet earlier this week):

Morning!

I'm back in Sweden after my great Iceland trip, loads of images to work through but early yesterday the light looked great so I popped down to the local river for sunrise, great autumn colours rapidly changing the forest.

Nikon must be working on something better than the D800/E. Pixels, arrays, filters in front or behind, megapixels..how many?..good for gear heads; I just want to take photographs.

Smile, I said. She became all shy. I clicked.

Of course, the D800 might be better. I just want to capture the moment, with what I have.
