Fun with the D3200

Small, cheap, compact, all plastic...but...a 24 mp sensor...Kit lens (18-55/3.5)
has pretty good AF, VR, and is reasonably sharp (provided you juice up the contrast a bit).

If you enjoy sharing your images on the internet...this is a fun way to go. If you are mainly interested in showing off your megabuck glass...you are in for a big surprise!

Images shot with the 35/1.8G and the 50/1.8G coming up...more surprises!

In the photo classes that I teach I have been reccomending the d5100 since I have some familiarity with it. I couldn't tell from your post if you thought that the d3200 would shine if used with the right lenses? Joe

JSF: I'll post images shot with the 35/1.8G and the 50/1.G...they are very inexpensive and quite sharp...they may be the "right lenses" you are looking for.

Images shot with the 35/1.8G (1st 3) and the 50/1.8G (last 2)...both very inexpensive and surprisingly sharp.

D3200 and 35/1.8G have the makings of a very good street camera/lens combination.
