Repaid Question (re: 85/1.4G)

*Repair, even. Whoops.

Had a bit of a mishap recently which left my 85/1.4G with a cracked barrel and gold band. The front element doesn't appear to be damaged and it still focuses just as well as it always did, so I'm guessing the damage is fairly superficial.

Has anyone had this happen to any of their lenses? And, if so - any idea of the repair cost?

No and no idea, sorry. Best bet is to log onto the Nikon repair site and describe the problem -- they can often generate a repair estimate for you.

No...only my 150/2.8 barrel.after a fall..along with distorted barrel of 20/2.8D and a Zeiss 16-80 which costed me 350USD to repair
