Nice memento.……I bought it from my good friend Uwe Steinmuller …...I think a little of Uwe remains with it. Doubtful I will ever sell it

Graham. You and I seem to have an affinity for ledges, although I did tone it back somewhat on this recent trip. true and I appeciate it. The GF didn't appreciate this selfie as an example
(If you've never been to Toroweap that's 3000ft 1ft behind me.)
And I appreciate your restraint! I feel faint in the same zip code as an exposed ledge.Graham. You and I seem to have an affinity for ledges, although I did tone it back somewhat on this recent trip.
Well it is a very good camera - and after having not used it for a few weeks, when I did so to take some shots my son had requested, I realised just how well it handles, even with MB-D12 battery pack that I had attached. I had my Hassy nearby but its a brick in comparison to the D810.Nice photos Quentin - you can be proud of your son!
On another note…. my local camera store… made me an offer on a D810 I couldn't refuse….$150 rebate on an already ridiculously low sale price…. so look forward to joining this thread
(...) And one of the last photos with this body before I accidentally dropped it, snapping off the lens mount….. think I need another drink!!!
