I picked up my latest acquisition today; an old Nikkor 300mm f/4.0 AF, no S. Slow focusing on the D80, probably better on the S5, but I just love lenses where I don't need to worry about what is the optimal focal length and aperture. This one is sharp enough at 300mm and f/4 :p

I didn't really buy it for street candids, but there weren't any tigers or bald eagles at Siam Square today :)

D80 with Nikkor 300mm f/4 @ f/4

Fabulous attire for everyday bkk life!

My favorite ultra wide zoom, kind of underrated...

In some ways I even prefer it to even the 14-24 Nikkor which I ended up selling after comparing it to the Sigma.

A very Italian family...

Albert:)

That's some beautiful portraiture, Albert. Proof of the pudding, I showed them to my wife, and they drew several "Awws". And the one of the little girl... that go got "oh, my, that's a beautiful shot!" So, it's official.

Thanks Lloyd!

And tell your wife thanks for me too:)

I've roughly 150 families booked within the next 3 weeks.. so I'll be popping in with some shots I'm sure:)

Thank you!

Great stuff Al, as usual...

Corian, seems like you're enjoying mild weather like us, here in NYC. You peaked my curiosity in the other thread but never sent me that pm...
